The battery serial number is unique to the battery, and incorporates the date, as well as other unique identifiers. The battery vendor code tells who manufactured the battery (there are lists online for different vendors, and in VCDS). Look at the BEM code photo you have for the Varta battery: 000915105DL VA0310314E04G Breaking this down: Battery Part Number: 000915105DL Battery Vendor Code: VA0 Battery Serial Number: 310314E04G The battery part number tells the size and type of battery (there are other lists online, as well as yours). These are NOT serial numbers (as you have highlighted in blue). Also the list of Part Numbers at the bottom of the page (for battery sizes 51h to 115Ah), are all Part Numbers only. The battery serial number in that YouTube video is completely wrong (000915105A – this is the part number, not the serial number).
